CITY OF COLUMBIA, SC PARKING

PAYING PARKING CITATIONS

Paying a parking citation online is made easy through this web page by clicking Search Citations below.

To pay a parking citation on this website, it is required to create an account with the following information: First Name, Last Name, E-Mail Address, and License Plate number. This will allow for an easy and seamless way to pay; while also tracking any future citations through this account. Accounts are also needed for any future citation appeals.

To continue to provide our customers the ability to make electronic payment and help maintain safe social distancing; the City of Columbia has partnered with T2 Systems, a third party working with City of Columbia’s Parking to process these payments. The process fee of $2.65 will be charged to every transaction you make on this website. Note you are able to pay for multiple citations on one transaction. The total amount will be shown on the payment site you will be directed to later in this process.

Please note that the City of Columbia does not store any real-time credit card data. Credit card data is processed through PayPal; which is encrypted and authenticated using the mostup-to-date security methods.

If you do not wish to use their services, you can pay the City directly by other traditional methods like check or money order.

City of Columbia Parking Citations may also be paid in person or by drop-box at 3000 Harden Street at the Payment Center, or at 820 Washington Street (located inside of the garage on Washington St. entrance) at the Parking Services Department’s Customer Center. Those receiving citations also may mail in a payment in the envelope provided with the citation. Mailing address for payments is 3000 Harden Street.

Payments are considered late if not received within 30 days of issuance. The first late fee adds $10 to the face value of the citation. A second late fee is added if the citation remains unpaid 30 days after the first late fee is applied. In this case, the total amount due, including late fees, is doubled.

You have the right to appeal your citation in seven (7) calendar days of issuance; thereafter you forfeit your right to appeal. If you would like to appeal your citation, please email: parkingservices@columbiasc.gov.

To appeal, please be sure to include your citation number, license plate, and a detailed explanation of your appeal. Please allow Parking Services 5-10 business days to view, research, and process your appeal.

To continue to provide our customers the ability to make electronic payments, the City of Columbia has partnered with South Carolina Interactive, a third party working with the City to bring you these expanded methods of payments. The total price which will be charged to you for your payment includes funds used to develop, maintain, enhance and expand the electronic payment service they are offering. The total amount will be shown on the payment site you will be directed to later in this process.
